Crystal Shapes
A guide to the most common crystal shapes.
Tumble Stones
This is the most common cut and polished shape of crystal available. Small chunks of stone are tumble polished to give them a smooth and shiny surface.
Spheres
A sphere is cut and polished to be perfectly round. Spheres radiate energy smoothly and evenly in all directions.
Hearts
These can be any crystal cut into a heart shape. Crystal Hearts represent love, our heart and connect with the energy of our Heart Chakra.
Points or Towers
They can be stones cut into a Crystal Point shape or a natural Crystal Point which is cut at the base to allow it to stand up. Like all points, they direct and focus energies out the termination point. Carved Standing Crystal Points are often cut into Generator Point shapes so they help amplify energy and our intentions.
Angels
Crystal Angels come in many shapes and sizes. Crystal Angels anchor angelic energies, helping you connect with different angels or your guardian angels.
Wands
A Crystal Wand is a solid piece of crystal that is cut into either a faceted Crystal Point or rounded on the ends, these are sometimes called Massage Wands. They are mainly used to direct the energies of the crystal into the aura or chakras.
Eggs
Three-dimensional Crystal Eggs come in many different sizes. The egg shape can be used to help shield, heal, or strengthen the aura. Crystal Eggs channel the energies of renewal, personal transformation, and support new beginnings.
Skulls
These can be very realistic human skull carvings or more symbolic skulls. Crystal Skulls help people connect with their ancestors, guides or other spiritual teachers and masters.
Pyramids
Pyramids have four triangular sides and a square base. Pyramids both anchor and direct energies. They stabilise the energies of the earth while enhancing and projecting energies out the apex.
Clusters & Geodes
Clusters have points of all different shapes and sizes that typically terminate in different directions. Each cluster is special and unique, no two clusters are ever the same.
Geodes, unlike clusters, have all their terminations located on the inside. They are typically rounded and show no sign of crystals on the outside unless they are broken in half. Sometimes geodes are cut at the base so they can be displayed standing up. Each little point within a geode emits its own energy, making the inside of the geode very powerful and perfect for charging or cleansing tumble stones or small crystals.
Thumb/worry stones
A worry stone is a small, smooth crystal or gemstone, shaped like an oval with a thumb-shaped indention.Worry stones fit perfectly between the thumb and index finger. The gentle motion of massaging one’s thumb back and forth across the stone can bring therapeutic and has psychological benefits. They help with reducing stress and anxiety, calming the nervous system, clearing negative thoughts, and helping to keep you grounded.
Palm stones
Palm stones are equal in size and proportion. They can be circular or oval shaped, small enough to fit in the average sized hand and are very tactile.
They can be used in lots of ways and are beautiful enough to display at home. You can lay palm stones on the skin, use them to focus your mind, carry them with you or simply hold the stone to feel its energy/vibration.
